Today Is One Of My Favorite Days Of The Year

September 4th.

To most, this day is just another day in the year. To me? To me, September fourth is one of the BEST days of the year!

Before I tell you why, I must start at the beginning...

I was born an only child in June of 1990. Pictures say a lot. And from what I can gather, other than being one of the cutest kids born, I had limitless amounts of toys, lots of attention, and a family that loved me more than words could say! The life I was living must have been more than one child could handle, because God had something in the works for me, and Mom.

September 4th, 1991, fifteen months later, I became a BIG SISTER to
Jamie Lee!!!

Cute one, huh?! I couldn't agree more!

Becoming a sister is a very special thing! I was, more than likely, too excited to realize that that at the same moment I looked at my baby sister for the first time, I was also looking at my BEST FRIEND for life!

Jamie and I, most definitely, have had our fair share of quarrels, but none that seem to stick out in my mind.

Being a big sister makes you mature fast. You realize that everything you do, she's watching, and probably going to try as well. Things you say will be uttered out of her lips. Clothes you wear will be stolen out of your closet and worn the same way. That little sister, "she is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who know when you are smiling, even in the dark. She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink. And some days, she's the reason you wish you were an only child."

Today, not only do I say happy birthday to my baby sister, I also say happy birthday to my best friend!

Happy Birthday Jamie Lee!!
You're now 22!
